The Brewery Studios
"You took a bus from Atlanta to New York City and walked across the Williamsburg Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn to record a few songs?"
"I've been known for crazier things."
Max, the recording engineer at The Brewery Studios in Brooklyn and I hit it off when he made peace with the idea that I was in it for more of the adventure than the end product.
My allergies were getting the best of me so I took a couple of Allegra capsules purchased at the Walgreen's across the street from Woodhull Hospital in Bushwick and crossed my fingers.
The music? Well, Smile and the Porgy and Bess medley were, in my humble opinion, magical.
I'm Always Chasing Rainbows and When Autumn Comes very nice.
Starting Here, Starting Now and Don't Ask Me Why, I liked, but will probably be re-recorded later.
I had so much fun! Enjoy!
