LAUREN OSBORNE

Lauren Osborne will write our next Snuffbook, Forrest Grump.  Lauren responded with two different approaches (based on the age of the reader) and submitted her version demonstrating her writing style and her approach to the plot and it is FAB-U-LOUS.  Our collaboration will begin next week.  Looking forward to working with Lauren.  Welcome to Snuffbooks!

FORREST GRUMP CO-WRITER SEARCH

Seeking a writer for our next Snuffbook, Forrest Grump! Submit a short 200 to 250 word children's story about a Bear who refuses to leave his cave after hibernation season.  Characters should include a Moose and a Fox.  The bear plays guitar.  At the end, the bear finally leaves the cave and they all have a picnic.  How the bear is talked (or tricked) out of leaving the cave is the writer's creative goal.  The story will be made into a narrated video and digital storybook. Children's short story/essay writing experience is appreciated.  Compensation included.  Please submit your essay to larry@snuffbooks.com by August 17, 2019.

DEKALB COUNTY LIBRARY

Working on a bunch of owls for display for the Dekalb County Library.  The ones in the pic were done for Panola Way Elementary in Decatur and have since been given away to students.  Not sure which branch they (the director) will choose for me to hang the new ones.  Hopefully onlookers will enjoy them.  I'll keep you posted on which branch they select and take some snapshots of it after they are displayed.

SHOWTUNE ANYONE?

"Home is a place we all have to find, child.  It's not just a place where we eat or sleep.  Home is knowing.  Knowing your mind.  Knowing your heart.  Knowing your courage.  If we know ourselves, we're always home anywhere." -  Lena Horne, The Wiz
